Daniel Brown - Executive Vice President of Sales

Dan Brown is Executive Vice President of Sales at American Tire Distributors, Inc. During almost 30 years with the Company, he has worked his way through sales, marketing, operations, and procurement functions. Brown became Executive Vice President of Sales in 2008. In this role, he is responsible for all sales and customer development efforts across ATD's coast-to-coast distribution center network.

Brown started his career with American Tire Distributors (then The J. H. Heafner Co., Inc.) in 1975 and held various field sales assignments, before advancing to Director of Marketing and to Vice President of Marketing during the 1980s. In 1991, Brown became Vice President of Sales and Marketing, assuming responsibility for distribution center operations. In 1997, Brown was promoted to Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Heafner Tire Group, Inc., responsible for vendor relations and program negotiations nationwide. Brown received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Western Carolina University.

He and his family live in Cornelius, North Carolina.
